The variety of multimedia avenues allows multiple ways for the audience to receive messages and display how well they comprehend the message.

Certain multimedia techniques are more effective than others. Most of the time messages are intended for a particular audience. Multimedia makes it possible to cater a message and use different elements for different audiences.
By choosing the wrong multimedia device the presenter could possibly lose their audience or hinder the intended message.
